Jax I've been called wild. Dirty. Untamed. I moved to the woods to get away from the bullsh*t of the city. People there don't understand a man like me. I work hard, and my hands are as calloused as my heart. And nothing’s gonna change that. But now I’ve met Harper. And my whole f*cking world has changed. But this girl keeps running. I need to make her stay because she’s having my baby. I’m gonna make sure my c*ck is the only one she ever needs again. Harper I never expected my fiancé to break things off. I’d saved myself for my wedding night, and now I’m left wondering why. Needing to get away, I ran to my uncle's cabin in the woods. But a storm has left me stranded on Jax’s doorstep, and soon enough he takes me in his arms. And on the floor. And on the table. And in the great outdoors. Our time together has left me with a big problem … a problem a wild man like him can’t fix. A problem that makes me run … because I need a man who believes in true love and commitment. I need a man who is ready to be a father.

This was written like a cheap porn script. All the character's do is talk about their body parts and the dialogue was so cheesy dirty. I lost it howling with laughter when the two of them are in the forest and he says he's gonna pull out his wood and show the critters how it's done. But I had to quit there it was so bad and the reading so painful. I did crack up again when I read in another review they names the babies after trees. LOLProduct details

Timber The Mountain Man Babies Frankie Love 9781545053546 Books Reviews
I've read other books by Frankie Love so I knew Timber would be good but it wasn't. It. Was. AWESOME! Frankie's writing is a work of art. I fell in love with Harper from the beginning. She is so sweet and innocent. Full of life and curiosity. She's "running away" to her uncle's cabin for a few days to get over being dumped by her fiancé a week before the wedding. She ends up lost in the dark, in a snowstorm. Luckily she spots a nearby cabin which belongs to Jax, a sexy rugged mountain man. As soon as Jax sees Harper he is lusting for her. Harper has similar feelings for Jax but feels a little ashamed as she was raised in a very religious, strict and controlling family. Her father is a minister.
Harper decides maybe she is at Jax' for a reason and decides to give him her virginity. The next morning, Luke, Harper's ex-fiancé shows up banging at the door looking for her. When he spots Harper naked he freak out on her. Implying she is damaged goods. Harper leaves with Luke figuring she'll never see Jax again. When Harper's parents learn how Luke found Harper they are furious and her whole family treats her deplorably. About a month later, Harper realizes she is pregnant and returns to Jax to let him know he is going to be a father. Jax is way less than thrilled and suggests that Harper terminate the pregnancy, which seriously pisses her off. All she's ever wanted was to be a mother. Harper leaves determined that she and her baby will be just fine without Jax.
The book starts out with Harper who is escaping to her familys cabin when jer fiancee Luke leaves her the week before. She is 21 and still lives at home since her family is very religious. On her way to the cabin she gets lost in the snow and winds up at Jax' warm and inviting cabin.
Jax was a city man up until a few months ago when he had to leave because of a bad situation. He lives in a cabin on 50 acres of land with no wifi or any connection to the outside world. He likes his privacy until one day when Harper "the innocent doe" winds up on his doorstep. They have one wild evening and then the next day her ex fiancee shows up to take her home.
A month later she finds out shes pregnant. Will she tell Jax the bachelor that she is having his baby. Will her family accept this when they already think she is a disgrace. You need to read the book to get all of the juicy details.
Love! Love! Love this book. It sizzles! It makes you swoon! Its a love story within a love story. Its the first of a series and my first written by this author. Jaxon and Harper are totally different in many ways. Harper is innocent of all things having lived within a religious cult and taught that everything outside of the religious community she lived in was sinful. Her proposed marriage to another in her community was cancelled which was the reason she was lost in a storm seeking a place to heal from the breakup in an uncles cabin. Jaxon was no innocent of the world. He became somewhat of a recluse, hidden from all that he knew cynical of marriage, relationships, etc just happily or so it seems living in his log cabin...until Harper. One night it took for Harper to question her values, herself and her sexuality. One night to lose her innocence, one heated night of passion to open her eyes to the delights of the flesh, and one night that changed their lives forever...A journey of love, learning to love, and three times happily ever after.
WTF, Did I just waste my time on?!?!!! This is horrible from him calling his penis different tree terminology and Harper, I don't know what is wrong with Harper, but the there is something wrong. Just don't do it!!!
What I didn't like - Right off the bat, he's a jerk. He's bragging in his narrative about all the women he's been with and apparently had no problem sleeping with married women or taken women. He is so crass and disrespectful in how he thought and talked about women. The way he says it all is gross, and he's not the type of H I prefer in books at all. I was really very disappointed and disgusted. Waaaay too many wood euphemisms. We get it, he's a lumberjack and manwhore, but that many references to his junk as wood or a trunk was super annoying. He knows she's a virgin but still wants to sleep with her right way, which is very douchebag-like. I understand not wanting to marry her right away. Not every book has to be an insta-love, but good lord did he take his sweet time. He's such a jerk. I don't like that Buck is sleeping with random women he picks up in bars because I know he has a book and some poor woman is going to end up with a wannabe manwhore, so that's depressing. The dialogue and narrative was weird in some places It didn't sound natural.
What I did like - I liked Jax's parents, and I liked Harper for the most part. She was way too naive for these days, but I guess it's possible if she was that sheltered. The ending was sweet. I love HEAs, especially those containing marriage and babies.
Overall - It was a decent but not great book involving too very different people who get an HEA and live in the woods.
I don’t understand the reviews thus far. Perhaps family? Friends? 🤔. I read the entire story. Apart from the occasional (and mostly ridiculous) sex scenes, it was an awful read. Characters, plot, scene, story — generously graded. Do yourself a favor — skip this one.
This was written like a cheap porn script. All the character's do is talk about their body parts and the dialogue was so cheesy dirty.
